Reading words aloud
The reader turns your word list into an audiobook: read out word by word, with image, repeat and shuffle.
Vocabulary like an audiobook
The reader reads your word list out loud — perfect on the go, on your commute, or for relaxed review without any tapping. Word by word, with the image, in each language.
How to start
- Open a box.
- Tap Read aloud (the audiobook icon) to open the reader.
- Tap a word to start from there — the reader speaks it and then moves on to the next one automatically.
The controls
The player at the bottom works just like your music app:
- Play / Pause — start or stop reading.
- Next / Previous — jump to the next or previous word.
- Shuffle — mix up the order so you don’t memorise the sequence.
- Repeat — loop the whole list, or repeat a single word.
- Direction — whether the foreign or the native language is read first.
Tap the card to hear the current word again. If an image is attached, the reader shows it large.
Settings
Under Read word list aloud in the settings you decide:
- Read words aloud — read every word as it passes. Turn it off if you only want to page through (view) the list.
- Read note — also read each word’s note after the word.
Choosing voices
Under Select voice in the settings you decide how the reading sounds:
- Pick up to five voices per language — the app alternates between them so it sounds more varied.
- Preview each voice first (Play sample).
- See which voices work offline and which need an internet connection.
If a language has no voice, download extra voices in your device’s system settings.
